Article Overview:
Copying campaigns, ad sets, or individual ads in NewsBreak Ad Manager is the fastest way to scale winning setups, run A/B split tests, or launch new promotions without manually rebuilding targeting parameters and creative assets from scratch. This guide walks you through using the Copy action in the interface and key settings to review before going live.
Key Information Before You Begin
What Gets Copied: Campaign objective, budget type, ad set structures, audience targeting (geo, demographics, placement), and if you select "Copy Ad sets and Ads in this campaign," it will also copy creative assets (headlines, descriptions, images, videos).
Performance Data: Performance metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, conversion data) do not transfer over. The new copy starts completely fresh.

| Ad | Ads tab → Action column → ⋮ → Click Copy | Test new headlines, descriptions, or visual assets within an existing ad set. |
Best Practices for Copied Campaigns
💡 Pro-Tip: Generally copied campaigns enter the NewsBreak ad auction as brand-new entities. Allow 24–48 hours for the pacing algorithm to calibrate before making major bid adjustments.
Prevent Self-Bidding Overlap: If you copy a campaign to test new creative variations, avoid targeting the exact same audience and location simultaneously with high budgets, as you may bid against yourself in the auction.
Audit Destination URLs: Double-check that landing page links, click-tracking tags, and third-party tracking pixels on all copied ads point to the correct destinations before activating.
Check Dayparting & Schedules: If the original campaign used specific dayparting hours or explicit end dates, verify that the schedule aligns with your new flight dates.
